Hold That Toilet Trip Until You’ve Made Some Decisions

Scientists at the University of Twente in the Netherlands have discovered that people who really need to go to the potty are better at making decisions than the bladder relieved.

It turns out that the part of our brains that deal with bladder control is the same part that handles feelings of reward and desire. In fact, just thinking about urination increased subjects’ ability to exercise control in other decision areas.

So the next time you have a difficult decision to make, down a tall glass of water and wait for the urge to help you decide.
